Per and Herbor had four children of record--Torunn, Anna, Jakop and Ole Jakop, all born on Tveito, Skaanevik, Hordland, Norway. They immigrated to Grundy County, Illinois where Per died in the cholera epidemic of 1849.
Herbor married the widower Lars Sheldall January 11, 1850 in Grundy County. In 1855 the family moved to Hamilton County, Iowa.
Lars and Herbor also had four children, Malinda L., Rinda, Msrtha Caroline and Jacob.
