Ruth Mina Jackson was born March
15, 1907 on a farm near Truesdale, the
daughter of John and Nellie May
(Loomis) Jackson. She attended Buena
Vista County schools.
She was united in marriage to John
H. Andrews on Oct. 29, 1924 in Storm
Lake. The couple farmed in Buena Vista
County. John died in March 1960. In
1962 Ruth moved into Storm Lake and
worked for many years at Ressler Drug
and at Methodist Manor.
She was a member of the United
Methodist Church, United Methodist
Women and B.P.W. Ruth enjoyed gardening
and doing handwork., She was
best known for die hundreds of Raggedy
Ann and Andy dolls she made. She also
loved making sugar cookies and homemade
noodles, which she shared with her
neighbors and friends.
She is survived by two daughters;
Joyce Lundberg, Newell, and Helen
Mahnke and her husband, Roger,
Altoona; five grandchildren; Judy and
Ron Woolridge, Newell, Roger and Cathi
Lundberg, Spokane, Wash., Susan and
Richard Powell, Wichita, Kan., Cheryl
Cardin, Ankeny and Steven Mahnke,
