Mrs. Nathan Anderson, resident of Buena Vista county all of her life, passed away at the Buena Vista county hospital on June 3 at 2:30 p.m. She was 37 years, 11 months, 11 days old. Eloise Patee was born in Storm Lake on June 23, 1919. She was the daughter of Frank and Grace Patee.

Her marriage to Nathan Anderson took place on March 2, 1938, at Nashua in the famous Little Brown Church. Together they settled on the home farm where Nathan farmed with his father for the first few years. After Nathan's folks moved to Storm Lake, Eloise and Nathan moved to the home place where they continued to live their happy years of married life together. This union was blessed with six children.

Mrs. Anderson was baptized when a small girl at the Methodist church in Storm Lake and in the year of 1955 she was emerged into the waters of baptism at the Elk Baptist church where she became a very active member and interested worker in all the departments of the church. Even before her baptism, Eloise was active in church work and very helpful and willing to do even more than her share.

She held several offices in the church and was secretary of the Sunday school at the time of her death. She will be greatly missed not only by her loved ones but by everyone who ever knew her, for everyone who knew her learned to love her as a dear Christian friend.

Eloise was a good mother to her family, teaching them the good things of life, to respect God, and to make preparation for the life to come “Through our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.”

Surviving Mrs. Anderson and her good and loving and faithful husband, Nathan, six children, Judy, Jone, Jene, Jane, Jill and Edward, all at home; her mother, Mrs. Grace Patee of Storm Lake; two brothers, Melvin and Bruce, Storm Lake; one sister, Elmerna (Mrs. W. B. Bauer) of Storm Lake, and her mother-in-law Mrs. Laura Anderson of Storm Lake.

She leaves to mourn her departure: five uncles, 7 aunts, 5 nephews, and 4 nieces, and many other relatives, besides a great host of friends. Her father preceded her in death.

She was laid to rest in the Elk cemetery in the family lot to await for that Great Resurrection Day. May God richly bless and strengthen her family and loved ones she leaves to mourn.
