Margaret is the only child of Sip Vander Tuin and Rickie Likkel, very probably named for her paternal grandmother, Margje Groen. Usual name: Marjorie.
In 1935 she lived with her parents at Carroll, near Platte, in Charles Mix County, in the southeastern part of South Dakota, in 1940 seamster Margaret (19) lived still with her parents and her grandmother Dina Likkel (69) at a rented farm at Joubert Township, Douglas County, northwest of the Dutch settlement New Holland.
Marjorie married on 29 December 1944 to Edward Dykstra. In December 1945 they had son Sylvan Henry Dykstra, born in Douglas County, in the southeastern part of South Dakota. They also had son Ernest Marvin and daughter Dianna May.
They lived probably from 1960 on in Lynden, Whatcom County, Washington, where she died in 2004 at the age of 83 years, since 1985 widow of Edward Dykstra.
