Anna Benedick, 87, of Toledo passed away on Monday, March 11, 2002, in St. Charles Mercy Hospital. She was born in Toledo, Ohio on February 21, 1915, to the late Michael and Anna (Lesinczky) Danko. Anna was a lifelong member of St. Stephen Catholic Church and actively involved in the Rosary Altar Society, VFW Post 4906-Ladies Auxiliary and the Hungarian Club.
Anna was employed for 26 years at the former Electric Auto-Lite. In her later years she enjoyed participating in many senior citizen functions including going on trips with her many friends. She was a very loving and friendly person who will be greatly missed.
Anna is survived by her son, Frank J. (Julia); sisters, Helen Szczerbiak and Mary (Alex) Nagy; grandchildren, Sandra (John) Kreger, Cynthia and Jennifer Benedick; great grandchildren, Garret and Hannah Kreger; sister-in-law, Rose Danko and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank; brothers, Michael, John and Joseph Danko, and brother-in-law, Adam Szczerbiak.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 13, from 2-8 p.m. in the Kinsey Funeral Home, Birmingham Chapel, 2001 Consaul St., Toledo, OH where the Rosary will be recited at 4 p.m. by the Ladies Altar Society and the Ladies Auxiliary. Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Thursday at 10 a.m. in St. Stephen Catholic Church. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery. The family suggests memorials in Anna's honor may be made to St. Stephen Church. Toledo Blade, Wednesday, March 13, 2002
