Obituary: FLOYD CLEO JOHNSON (sic)
Floyd Cleo Johnson was born in
Ringgold county, Iowa, Dec. 7, 1898,
and died in Bethany, September 25,1935.
With the exception of a few years residence
in Missouri, he lived in and near
Lamoni the greater part of his life.
He was a baptized member of the Reorganized
Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints
in February, 1920.
He is survived by his wife, father and
mother; one sister, Mrs. Fred Garrison of
Lamoni; one aged grandfather, Mrs.(sic)
John Johnson(sic) of Hatfield, Mo.; a number
of relatives and a host of friends;
A brother Joseph Verne died in infancy.
He was always jolly and had a kind
welcome for everyone. To the last he
bore his suffering with patience and
was always sociable and kind to those
who came to see him throughout his
Funeral services were held Friday
afternoon from the White Funeral Home
with Walter Hayer in charge and Pastor
Jensen delivering the sermon. Interment
at Rose Hill.
Married to Gladys Lavaughn Foreman on 5 August 1931 in Gentry Co., Missouri, United States.
