Roger Dale Crews, of Crocker, was born on August 10, 1955, at Crocker, a son of Willis and Mildred (Cusick) Crews and departed this life at 1:40 p.m., Wednesday, December 26, 2012, in the University Hospital and Clinics, Columbia, Mo. Roger had attained the age of 57 years, 4 months, and 16 days. Roger was preceded in death by his parents Willis and Mildred Crews, one brother Ronald Dean Crews and one infant sister Brenda Rose Crews. Roger was a member of the Mason Lodge 410 and the Shriners Ozark No. 109. Roger loved riding horses, enjoyed shooting matches at the VFW; he loved to cook breakfast on the weekends at the VFW and enjoyed watching old western movies. Roger had retired the beginning of this year from Ozark Ready Mix as a truck driver.

Those left to mourn the passing of Mr. Crews include: 2 Daughters, Joni Crews and FiancÚ Sam Ford, Lake Ozark; Melissa and Kevin Thompson, Dixon; four brothers, Jerry and Nan Crews, Willard; Danny and Linda Crews, Stanton; Gary Crews and companion Diane, Savannah, Ga.; Darrell Crews and companion Sheryl, Crocker; 6 grandchildren, Austin Walters, Katie Horighton, Chloe Thompson, Liam Ford, Doug Thompson and Bryan Thompson.

Funeral Services were conducted for Mr. Crews at 12 Noon, Saturday, December 29, 2012, in the Long-Kloeppel Funeral Chapel, Crocker with Bro. Jimmy Moore officiating. Two Favorite vocal selections of "Amazing Grace" and "Peace in the Valley" were played for the service.

Interment in the Antioch Cemetery near Crocker under the direction of Long-Kloeppel Funeral Homes and Cremation Services, Crocker. Pallbearers for Mr. Crews were Austin Walters, Randy Crews, Matthew Rowden, Danny Roam, Mark Decker and Morris Decker. Honorary pallbearer was Bill Smith.
