French Folk Figure, Writer. Collector of Indirect Taxes in Lourdes. During the time of the Marian apparitions he was converted observing the ecstasy of Bernadette Soubirous on February 23, 1858. At the end of his life, Jean-Baptiste wrote a detailed report of the celestial phenomenon, entitled "The Apparitions of Lourdes, narrated by Bernadette".
