James Elmer McEntire
(April 8, 1957 - June 12, 2006)

Mr. Jimmy McEntire passed away Monday June 12, 2006 in Carthage, Tx. at the age of 49. He was born April 8, 1957 in Fort Polk, La. to the late Charles Chester McEntire and Agnes Perry McEntire. Mr. McEntire married the former Elizabeth Kay Murley on June 24, 1989 in Crossroads, Texas. He was a heavy equipment operator for Ritter Construction in the oil field industry and Scoutmaster for Troop #36 in Quitman, Tx. . Mr. McEntire is preceded in death by his father, Charles Chester McEntire and sister, Sally Ann Castleberry. Survivors include, wife, Elizabeth Murley McEntire of Winnsboro; mother, Agnes Perry Lewis; sons, Richard Parrish of Winnsboro, Michael McEntire of Winnsboro; brother and sister-in-law, Mickey and Joy Valentine of Rusk; sisters, Kay Asher and husband, Tommy of Carthage, Beverley Ridgway of Rusk, Val Link and husband, John of Tyler, Johnnie Kay Flannelly and husband, Patrick of Tyler; and numerous nieces and nephews. Services are scheduled for 2PM Friday June 16, 2006 at Beaty Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Tom Goodwin officiating. Internment will follow in Lee Cemetery, Winnsboro. Visitation will be Thursday evening 6pm until 8pm at funeral home. Local arrangements are under the direction of Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home.
