Earl Luther Jellum, son of Mr. and Mrs. Martin Jellum, of Blooming Grove township, passed away at the Memorial hospital Sunday afternoon at 4:45 after an illness of a few days with pneumonia. The funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at one o'clock from the home and at two o'clock from the North Waseca Lutheran church. Rev. Ivar Ramseth officiated. Interment was made in the cemetery adjoining the church. The pall bearers were: Henry Fessel, Lawrence Schwartz, Sidney Dahle, Conrad Jellum, John Fretham and Lawrence Jellum. Among those from a distance who attended the funeral were an uncle and cousin of the deceased, Ole N. Jellum and Frederick Jellum of Starbuck.
Earl Luther Jellum was born November 12, 1912 and grew to manhood in Blooming Grove. He was an intelligent and likeable young man and numbered his friends by his acquaintances. He was taken ill Thursday and Friday he was taken to the hospital but his condition was critical. Members of the family were at his bedside constantly but he regained consciousness only for a short time. Besides his bereaved parents the following brothers and sisters survive: Mrs. Frank Yerhot and Herman Jellum of Deerfield, Mrs. Walter Marquardt, of this city, and Otto and Mary Jellum at home with their parents.
