Rafael N. Alequin, 22, of Berks County passed away Dec. 4, 2012.
Born in Chicago, IL, he was a son of Rafael A. Alequin and Michelle Noe.
In addition to his parents, Rafael is survived by two brothers, Michael and Thomas; two sisters, Jazmine and Sophia; a stepfather, Robert Cardinal Jr.; a stepbrother, Jeremy Cardinal; grandparents, Cheryl Clough and Paul; one niece, Yechia; aunts Carolyn and Corinne, and many other aunts and uncles.
Services from the Lutz Funeral Home, Inc., 2100 Perkiomen Ave., Mount Penn on Dec. 9, 2012, at 4 p.m. Friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. Interment private at the convenience of the family.

The double homicide happened Tuesday morning, around 2:30 a.m., in the 1100 block of Franklin Street.
The victims were identified as Rafael Alequin, 22, of Berks County, and Dario Ricci McLemore, 22, of Palmer Twp., Northampton County.
Both shooting victims were friends, police said.
Two brothers have been arrested in the brutal killings of two men in Reading and a witness to the double homicide, whose body was later found burned near Allentown.
Maurice Wilkins was arrested at his home in Ruscombmanor Township and charged in the double homicide on Jan. 5; Michael Wilkins was arrested Monday evening at Routes 12 and 662, Adams said.
Michael Allen Wilkins, 37, and Maurice Adrian Wilkins, 32, both of Ruscombmanor Twp., Berks Co., have been charged with three counts of first and third degree murder and related offenses, officials announced Tuesday.
Specifically: Interment private at the convenience of the family.
