- SAVANNAH - Jean W. Crawford , entered into everlasting life on November 26, 2011. Mrs. Crawford was born at Pulaski, TN on March 5, 1922 to Charles and Beatrice Watson. In her younger years, she lived and attended school in Montgomery, AL, and later moved to Americus, GA. She moved to Savannah, GA in 1946 where she resided and raised her family. Mrs. Crawford worked at the Vogue Shop located at Oglethorpe Mall for many years. In her later years, she suffered from Alzheimer Disease and resided at Spanish Oaks Alzheimer Retreat and Hospice for several years. Her primary focus in life was her family. She was extremely independent, and would readily tell friends and acquaintances alike of her love for her family. She was a dedicated mother and loved her family very much. She had a quick wit, a ready smile, and kind words for those around her. Mrs. Crawford was predeceased by her parents, several sisters, and a brother as well as her husband, Daniel C. Crawford, Sr., a daughter, Carol Joyce Crawford, and a son, Larry A. Crawford. She is survived by a sister, Joyce W. Manley of Daphne, AL, two sons, Daniel C. Crawford, Jr. of Savannah, GA and James N. Crawford of Evans, GA. She is survived by three daughters-in-law: Katherine Crawford and Judy Crawford of Savannah, GA as well as Angela Crawford of Evans, GA. She is survived by the following grandchildren: Michael Crawford of Guyton, GA, Danielle Crawford, Stephen Crawford, Tyler Crawford and Alison Crawford all of Savannah, GA, and Madison and Graham Crawford of Evans, GA. Additionally, other survivors include seven great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Her grandsons are designated as pallbearers. Visitation: 6:30 - 8:00 PM Monday, November 28, 2011 at Fairhaven Funeral Home, Hubert C. Baker Chapel. Graveside Services: 10 AM Tuesday, November 29, 2011 at Oak Hill Cemetery in Meldrim, GA. With Mr. Drew Corbett, Chaplain of Spanish Oaks Hospice, officiating.
