Faye Huskinson, 86, of Idaho Falls, passed away January 20, 2024, at her home. She was under the care of Aspen Home Health & Hospice and her loving family.
Faye was born October 1, 1937, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to Osmer LeRoy Prestwich and Dorothy Luella Pearce Prestwich. She grew up and attended schools in Lincoln, Idaho, and graduated from Bonneville High School. She also attended bookkeeping school.
On April 16, 1965, she married Gary Dexter Huskinson in the Idaho Falls, Idaho Temple. Faye and Gary made their home in several towns in Wyoming before settling in Shelley, Idaho, in 1980.
She was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Faye served as a missionary in the Southern States Mission from 1961-1962, as a Relief Society President, and as a temple ordinance worker. She enjoyed quilting, church service, family history, and reading.
Faye is survived by her son, Brent Huskinson of Gillette, WY; daughter, Lynne Huskinson of Gillette, WY; son, William "Bill" (Diane) Huskinson of Idaho Falls, ID; son, John (Shanna) Huskinson of Rigby, ID; son, James "Jim" (Tonnis) Huskinson of Idaho Falls, ID; brother, Kenneth (Kathy) Prestwich of Albuquerque, NM; sister, Sharon Hartwell of Idaho Falls, ID; sister, Margie Prestwich of Idaho Falls, ID; sister, Ranae (Rick) Boggess of Papillion, NE; sister-in-law, Gail (Floyd-deceased) Prestwich of Ammon, ID; 20 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Gary Huskinson; brothers, Doyle, Floyd, Dean, and Garry Prestwich.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, January 26, 2024, at the Ammon 18th Ward, 4363 E. 17th Street, with Bishop Brian Turville officiating. The family will visit with friends Thursday from 6:30-8 p.m. at Wood Funeral Home East Side, 963 S. Ammon Road, and Friday from 10-10:45 a.m. prior to services at the church. Burial will be in the Teton-Newdale Cemetery.
