Cyrus was the son of James Whitson Williams (1839-1908) and Martha "Hankins" Williams (1855-1922). He was born on June 9, 1897 in Gainesboro, Jackson County Tennessee. Cyrus had four sisters and two brothers: William J. Williams (1875-1958); Mollie A. "Williams" Ray (1877-1961); Jessie H. Williams (1884-1925); Sallie Maude "Williams" Pippin (1885-1969); Beuist Karen "Williams" Garrett ( 1890-1987) and Johnnie Lillian "Williams" Lea (1893-1987).

Cyrus married my maternal grandmother Georgia Stewart on December 31, 1924. They had two children, Ronnie Wayne Williams (1928-2002) and my mother Peggy Jeane Williams (1932-2007). Cyrus worked in the oil business and spent time in the Phillipines and the Canal Zone in Central America in the 1920's and 1930's. He died at the Norwalk State Hospital in Norwalk, California on March 5, 1935.

Cyrus' sister Mollie A. "Williams" Ray and her 2nd husband Jack Ray, as well as a son from Mollies 1st marriage "Joe H. Linville", are also buried in Westminster Memorial Park.
