Is Paid Tribute

Perry Vernon (Fudge) Benson was honored with funeral services Monday, February 19, at 2:00 p.m. at the Oklahoma Chapel of McLellan Funeral Home. Elder Z. Z. Renfroe of Independence, Missouri officiated assisted by Elder Mann of Altus. Interment was in Davidson Cemetery.

Special music was provided by Mrs. Mann at the organ as she accompanied Mrs. Asa Bailey, Mrs. Alvis McClure, Mrs. George Reed, Mrs. Roy Skinner, Mrs. Frank Sparks and Mrs. Homer Wallace, who sang "What a Friend" and "There's an Old Old Path."

Pall bearers were Julian Cruse, R. B. Finney, Chester Hair, Alvis McClure. Bob McKinney and Eldon Sparks.

Survivors include a sister Mrs. Z. Z. (Bertha) Renfroe of Independence, Missouri and an aunt, Mrs. G. B. (Eula) Burkes Sr. of Davidson.

Services Held For P. V. Benson

Funeral services for Perry Vernon ("Fudge") Benson were held Monday (today) at 2:00 p. m. at the Oklahoma Chapel of McLellan Funeral Home. Elder Z. Z. Renfroe of Independence, Missouri officiated and interment was in Davidson Cemetery.

Benson had been a patient at Veteran's Hospitals frequently for the past few years and passed away at Wichita Falls, Texas Saturday, February 17. He was born in Davidson to D. Monroe and Carrie Qualls Benson.

A veteran of World War II he served in the Pacific Theatre of Operation with the United States Army and followed the occupation of a tailor.

Survivors include a sister, Mrs. Z. Z. (Bertha) Renfroe of Independence, Missouri and an aunt, Mrs. A. B. (Eula) Burkes Sr. of Davidson.
