Mr. Jimmy David Akins, age 56, of Jasper, passed away on Tuesday, August 14, 2012, at his residence.
Visitation was held Thursday, August 16, from 4 until 7 pm. in the parlor at Collins-Burke Funeral Home in Jasper. Funeral service were held Thursday, at 7 pm. in the Collins-Burke Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be today, August 17, in the Boldo Cemetery in Jasper. Billy R. Luster will officiate.
He was preceded in death by his father, Ollis "Buster" Akins; Mother, Ethel Marie Payne Akins; brother Jarold Ollis Akins, and Adrain Allan Akins; and one granddaughter.
He is survived by his brother, Mike Akins of Jasper; son, Randall Ivan; and two grandchildren.
