Western Tidewater - Lloyd Newman Allison, 70, went to be with the Lord on January 27, 2016. He was born in Norfolk, VA the son of the late Clarice L. and James L. Allison, Sr. He was a veteran having served in the U.S. Marine Reserves. Lloyd retired as a truck driver from Ferguson Enterprises. He was a member of New Branch Community Church. He was devoted to Christ and His Church. Lloyd is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Heather and Daniel Stogsdill; sisters and brothers-in-law, Mary Joan Hollowell (Norman), Martha Sue Shapiro (Walter), and Betty Lou Armstrong; brothers and sister-in-law, Boyd Allison (Jerry), James L. Allison, Jr.; and numerous nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be Sunday, January 31, 2016 at 3 p.m. at New Branch Community Church, 9608 Windsor Blvd., Windsor, VA 23487 with Pastor John Hunter officiating. Friends may join the family Saturday from 6-8 p.m. for a time of visitation at Parr Funeral Home & Crematory, 3515 Robs Dr., Suffolk, VA 23434. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to New Branch Community Church. Condolences may be registered online at www.parrfuneralhome.com.
