DECATUR REVIEW - 10JUL1940 - MRS. MARY CAMPIOIN DIES IN CA Mrs. Mary Campion who was long well-known in Decatur as a nurse, died yesterday in CA at the age of 80. She died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Arthur Shingle, in Los Angeles. For more than 60 years Mrs. Campion lived in Decatur, leaving 6 years ago. She worked with the late Dr. Everett Brown. She was a lifelong member of St. Patrick's Catholic church here. Born 09Nov1859 in England, she came to Decatur with her parents, Patrick & Marie Munster. Her husband, John Campion died 25 years ago. Mrs. Campion leaves, besides Mrs. Shingle, 4 other daughters, Mrs. James Bain of Decatur; Mrs. J. B. Wilson of McAlester, OK; & Mrs. Lillian Mitchell & Mrs. Louis Long, both of Los Angeles; 2 sons, Richard of Decatur & William of Los Angeles; & 1 brother, James Munster of Los Angeles. Four children preceded her in death. The funeral will be held in CA.
