Erma Lee Pope, 101, died Tuesday, February 16, 2010, at North Mississippi Medical Center after a brief illness. A Sherman native, she was born February 12, 1909, to Samuel Presley Caldwell and Willie Alice McCarty Caldwell. She was retired from Joyner Fields in Sherman, MS. She was an active member of Sherman Baptist Church as long as her health permitted. She enjoyed gardening, quilting, and spending time with her family and friends.
Survivors include two daughters, four grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandson.
