Jeffrey Lynn Ambrose, 50, of Shawnee, KS died November 22, 2011 at his home.

Jeff was born August 26, 1961 at Wichita, KS the son of Eleanor (McGuire) and Norman Ambrose.

He moved to Olathe, KS in 1966 and went to school, kindergarten through third grade, before moving to Louisburg, KS. He started fourth grade and graduated from Louisburg High School with the class of 1979. After high school, Jeff graduated from Mortuary Science School in Kansas City, Kansas.

Jeff was a Mortician for several years before joining Ambrose Sales in Olathe. After a short time Jeff started Ambrose Packaging. With the help of some good people he was able to build from a small beginning to a multi million dollar business. Jeff was a very active sports fan and held tickets to all teams, especially K.U. Basketball. He was very well respected by his employees, customers, vendors, friends and family. Jeff served on Governor Brownback’s committee on Entrepreneurial Coalition, board member of the Kansas City Crusaders, active supporter of Folds of Honor and a supporter of many charitable organizations. He was heavily involved in organizing a senior tour for LPGA.

He is survived by his two children, Alicia Michelle Ambrose, Overland Park, KS; and Nathan Ray Ambrose, Overland Park, KS; former wife Trisha Ambrose, Overland Park, KS; also former wife Molly Ost Ambrose, Shawnee, KS and her two daughters, Lauren Ost and Heather Ost, Shawnee, KS; his parents, Norman and Eleanor Ambrose, Linn Valley, KS; one brother, Greg and wife Debbie, Overland Park, KS; two nephews, Matthew and wife Melanie Ambrose, Olathe, KS; and Michael Ambrose, Olathe, Ks and many friends.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions to Ambrose Scholarship Fund or to Folds of Honor.
