Leona Pearl Simper Clark passed away Friday, October 7, 2005 at the age of 93. She was born November 18, 1911 in Lynn, Utah to Ernest Daniel and Rosella Bird Simper. She married Lynn O. Clark on October 1, 1931 in the Salt Lake Temple. They are the parents of four daughters, Nelda (Garr) Bolton of Roosevelt, Narlene Freeze of Snowville, Nyrma McKenna of Snowflake, AZ and Lornel (James) Tureson of Layton. Their posterity includes 16 grandchildren, 55 great-grandchildren and 32 great-great-grandchildren.
Leona served a mission with her husband in Independence, MO. They also served as temple workers in the Ogden Temple. Leona served in many callings throughout various auxiliaries of the church. She was an accomplished homemaker and made her home a place of beauty with handicrafts. She excelled in her crochet, quilts, and ceramics. She was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, October 13, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. at Myers Mortuary Chapel, 205 S. 100 E., Brigham City, UT.
Friends may call on Wednesday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. and on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. at the Mortuary.
Interment will be in the Brigham City Cemetery.
