James Gamble, aged 62 years, and a resident of Kenosha for many years, died this morning at his home on prairie avenue after an illnfess of near ly two years. He bad been critically ill for the past few weeks and death was not unexpected.

The deceased was born in Pontiac, Illinois, on August 20, 1860, and was educated in the schools of Illinois. He moved to Kenosha nearly twenty years ago and during this time he had been employed much of the time by the Simmons company.

James Gamble was married on April 18, 1885, to Miss Margaret Towers of Portage, Wis., who survives him. He is also survived by four children, all of Kenosha.

The remains will be taken to Portage, Wis., for burial in the family plot.

Short funeral services will be held Sunday afternoon at 3:00 o’clock at the Hansen funeral home on Park avenue. Other services will he held later at Portage.
