FINAL RITES FOR VIOLA COLLEY
Boyne City- Services for Mrs. Norman (Viola) Colley, 54, of Gaylord, who died July 12 at St. Joseph's Hospital in Ann Arbor, were held at 1 p.m. July 15 with Stackus Funeral Home, with Rev. Chandler Benton of the East Jordan Presbyterian Church officiating. Burial was at Maple Lawn Cemetery.
Mrs. Colley was born September 15, 1915 at Indiana Harbor, Indiana and came to Boyne City at the age of one. She was a 1933 graduate of Boyne City High School and later that year married Mr. Colley. He preceded her in death in 1941.
Mrs. Colley had lived the past 13 years in Gaylord where she was a secretary at Standard Products. She was a member of the Presbyterian Church.
Surviving are a son, Harry, Macomb, Illinois; one daughter, Mrs. Max (Darlene) Sommerville, Plymouth; her step-mother, Mrs. Velma Weeks of Muskegon; a half brother, Ronald, of Texas; three step sisters, Mrs. Russell (Marge) Kovar, Lansing; Mrs. Paul (Geneva) Barnard, Muskegon and Mrs. Lois Klifman, California and seven grandchildren.
The body is at the Stackus Funeral Home where friends may call.
