Robert Lyle Bussard, 64, one of two children of Bert Bussard and Grace (Simpkins) Bussard, was born in Lushton, Neb. Nov. 26, 1931. He died at his home in Superior last Wednesday. (June 26, 1996)
Buzz, as he was known, attended the Grafton Schools and graduated from Grafton High School.
He was employed by Burlington Northern Railroad as a conductor. He lived in the Grafton, Crete, Cortland and Superior communities.
On May 1, 1993, at the Baptist Church in Superior, he was united in marriage to Janice Snavely.
A member of the National Rifleman's association, he enjoyed fishing and hunting.
He was preceded in death by is father.
Survivors include his wife, Janice, Superior; three daughters, Mrs. Basil Hulewicz (Patricia), Lincoln, Peggy Bussard, Newcastle, Wash., and Roberta Meinke, Crete; two sons, Stuart, Crete, and Lawrence, Wilber; 13 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; his mother, Grace, Crete; and a sister, Mrs. Buck Buxton (Dixie), Lincoln.
Graveside services were held Saturday from the Lushton Cemetery with the Pastor Blair Stewart officiating. Megrue-Price Funeral Home, Superior, was in charge of the arrangements.
