Eugene Cooley was born in Deerfield, MN to Benton & Lydia Cooley. In his youth he travelled with his family through Minnesota, Iowa and South Dakota, finally returning to Minnesota to settle in Pine Center.
Eugene was preceeded in death by his parents, four brothers, and one sister. His funeral was held at the Roosevelt schoolhouse. Internment was in the Dykeman cemetery.
Surviving the deceased were three brothers, Bert Cooley, of Pine Center; Thadeous Cooley, of Superior, Wis.; Fay Cooley of North Dakota; and one sister, Mrs. Nellie Perry, of Denver, Colorado.
