Frankie Mitchell was born and raised in Hancock, Pulaski County, MO. She was married to Clifton DeForest Cole in Hancock in 1905. They had 2 daughters.
Frankie was employed by the Baltimore and Ohio Railroad for 36 years as an operator.
I believe she was named after President Grover Cleveland's new bride, Frances Folsom, who he married in June 1886 (right before Frankie was born). Frankie's younger brother (my grandfather) was named Grover Cleveland Mitchell. My great-grandparents were staunch Democrats.
I remember my great-aunt Frankie when I was a small child when she would come back to Missouri to visit, and what I remember most about her is her laughter.
