DELLA LYNCH, 54, SERVICES HELD HERE WEDNESDAY
Della Ann Lynch, 54, died here Sunday evening and funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon.
Mrs. Lynch became ill and was attempting to drive from her home on Yellow Horse Trail to the Pawnee Indian Hospital when she stopped her car near the corner of Morris Drive and Beck Drive and began honking her horn. A local police officer was called and on investigating he called for an ambulance which rushed her to the hospital where she was pronounced dead on arrival.
Born in Pawnee on July 1, 1924 to John C. and Lila Smith, she lived in Pawnee most of her life. She married Darrel E. Lynch in 1955 and he preceded her in death in 1960.
Survivors include a son, Max Benson, Pawnee, and three brothers; Linford and James Smith, both of Pawnee and David Smith of Skiatook, plus five grandchildren and a great aunt, Mrs. Marie C. Webb of Clayton, Georgia.
The Rev. Floyd Freeman, pastor officated at the service at 3 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 20, at the Indian Baptist Church where she was a member. Interment was in the South Indian Cemetery under direction of the Poteet Funeral Home.
