Russell Sexton Anderson, son of James and Mamie Sexton Anderson, was born December 3, 1909 on a farm near Burwell, Nebr., and died Sunday, October 11, 1992, at St. Joseph Hospital in Concordia, at the age of 82 years, 10 months and eight days.

Russell or "Dutch" as he was known received his education from Burwell public schools, graduating from Burwell High School.

He was united in marriage to Juanita Ronzzo at Burwell in 1928 and to this union three children were born. She later died.

In 1946, he was married to Irene Francis at Mankato, and one son was born to this union.

He served during World War II in the United States Army. He later belonged to the American Legion and V.F.W. post of Belleville. He was also a member of the United Presbyterian church and former member of the Eagles Lodge.

He moved to Belleville in 1946 and began working in the Kravmore 36 restaurant. In 1955, he began managing Kravmore 81. He continued as co-owner and manager until 1975 when it was sold.

He was part of the NCK Saddle Club, and with his son Rusty, attended various trap shooting events.

Preceding him in death were his parents; his wives, Juanita and Irene; his brother, Guy.

He is survived by his sons Douglas and Rusty of Belleville, Dwaine of Glenwood, Iowa; his daughter, Mrs. Jerald (Rita) Chaffin of Burwell, Nebr., his step-children Frannie Graves and Donovan McCarty of Belleville; 11 grandchildren; six step-grandchildren; four great grandchildren; nine step-great grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, October 14, at the United Presbyterian Church of Belleville, with Rev. Garth Barber and David Walters officiating. Military rites were conducted by the American Legion Robert E. Gordon Post No. 133 and V.F.W. Baker-Holmes Post No. 3722. Burial was in Belleville Cemetery.
