Daisy Vietta Roberts was born on March 11, 1888. She was the 6th child born to Alfred and Ruthie Catherine (Swindle) Roberts.
Daisy was born in Sparta,Tennesee where she grew up. At 20, she met Issac Davis they married August 31st 1908. Their first home was the famous "Rock House" in Sparta Tennesee where their first child was born.
They evenually settled in Arkansas, Where they bought land and built a house, dug a well and pond and lived for many years. In 1943 they moved to California settling in Lockeford, Ca.
Daisy (loving known at this time by "Grandma") was loved by all...she was an avid church goer and any of the us grandkids that spent the weekend just planned on going with Grandma to church, it was a given...
She loved her family and the big meals we use to have together.
She always had something on the stove to eat...a pot of soup, or a pot of beans with her delicious buttermilk cornbread...there was always something good.
A woman of little education but had great wisdom, she gave her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren the steping stones to life.
I will never forget she told me once....
"Honey,... go right, and you'll never go wrong"
