Jacob BEEBY arrived for England in New York in 1822 aboard the ship 'Commet.' He was a farmer.
The Jacob Beeby Farm, which was mentioned in a Public (foreclosure) Notice in the Valley News newspaper dated September 19, 1994, page 15, is now in two parcels, located at 460-466 US Route 11, Hastings, New York, just south of the Village of Central Square. Both parcels are owned by Robert Morrow. The more northern of the two parcels was purchased in 1994 at that foreclosure sale. The parcels are used for displaying manufactured housing as Wholesale Homes Inc. The model homes are displayed where the old farmhouse may have been. The railroad to the west was built on land purchased by the Syracuse Northern Railway Company from Oscar Beeby in 1870. The Town & Country Motel is next door, at 448 US Rte. 11. Its parcel is Farm Lot #6 in 'L'Hommedieu's Location.'
