|Marie Elizabeth Krugh Morgan|
|Birth: ||Feb. 28, 1878|
|Death: ||Jul. 13, 1903|
Marie Elizabeth Krugh Morgan was the youngest child of Adam and Elizabeth Krugh of Huntingdon Co., Pennsylvania. She appears to have traveled to Georgia before 1900 with her sister, Viola Frances Krugh, (who married Frank Owens from McIntosh County, GA). Marie is shown with her sister, brother-in-law, and their family in the 1900 Census of Glynn Co., GA as Mollie Crews (sp. error). She married my great grandfather, Francis Marion Morgan, before 1903 in Glynn or Wayne Co., Georgia and together they had a daughter Inez Elizabeth Morgan, my paternal grandmother who was born in Glynn County, Georgia. Marie died less than 3 weeks after this birth of her only child.
She may be interred as Marie or Mollie Krugh Morgan. The exact place of her burial is unknown, but her grandsons believe she was interred somewhere in Glynn or Wayne County, Georgia, the latter county being where her husband's family was living at the time. There is a remote possibility that she may have been returned to Pennsylvania for burial or buried with her father, Adam Krugh, in St. Augustine, FL.
Note: The final resting place of her husband, Francis Marion Morgan cannot be confirmed; however, his death records state that he was returned to Jesup (Wayne), GA from New Mexico when he later died in 1919. (His parents are buried in the Jesup City Cemetery, and there is an unmarked grave in that family plot believed to be Marie's husband, Frank Morgan).
