Johanes and wife, Eva Martin Glasner, are the immigrant ancestors of the Glasner/Glazener/Glazner family line living in the United States. Johanes and Eva arrived at Philadelphia aboard the Ship Rawley on October 23, 1752.
On Wednesday, October 5, 1763 a Jacob Glazener and Johann Henrich Glasener both came to Philadelphia aboard the Ship Richmond from Rotterdam. As yet, there is no proven relationship between our Johanes and this Jacob and Johann Henrich.
Johanes and Eva Martin Glasener had three sons, George, Jacob and John Jr.
George and wife, Eleanor "Nellie" Lee Glazener left Maryland and settled in western North Carolina. They lived in Oglethorpe Co., Georgia for a while. They raised four sons and seven daughters. This family line is found on the eastern side of the Appalachian Mountains, through Virginia, North and South Carolina, Georgia, Alabama, Arkansas, Texas and beyond.
Johanes and Eva, together with sons Jacob and John Jr., moved west through Pennsylvania to Harrison Co., Ohio along the Ohio River. Jacob and his family settled a short distance away into Jefferson Co., Ohio. These two family lines spread through out the western side of the Appalachian Mountains.
