Margaret "Peggy" Crawford was the daughter of Hugh Crawford Jr and his wife Mary of Cox's Creek, Nelson County, Kentucky. She married Phillip Grable of the Crooked Creek area of Southern Bullitt County on Kentucky 18 August 1813. Margaret and Phillip were the parents of at least seven children: David (unmd); Elizabeth, md 1) Ephraim Napper 2) William Waters; Louisa, md 1) Henry Trunnell 2) Woodford McDowell]; Lloyd, md Elizabeth Newman; Mary who md Woodford McDowell and at least one set of twins (unknown stones, marked J& D). She lived in this home until her death in 1856 and is buried in the family cemetery on the same property.
The Grable Cemetery is located on the South side of Crooked Creek Road, in Knob State Forest which is located in the Southern part of Bullitt County, Kentucky. It is on private property behind a locked gate. There is another way to access the cemetery, crossing a creek and a field and then climbing up a steep creek bank. The cemetery is covered with vinca and some of the gravestones have been broken by cattle. It is now fenced to keep the cattle out
