Joseph P. Mundinger, 82, of Prescott, Ariz., departed this life Saturday, July 26, 2014, at his home.

Joseph was born Tuesday, June 14, 1932, in Fort Frances, Ontario, Canada, to Louis and Regina (Landry) Mundinger.

Joe served honorably in the U.S. Navy during the Korean conflict, and he and Suni moved to the Prescott area in 1977, where he worked as a District Manager with Farmers Insurance. He retired in 2000. He loved being with his family and working on his electric trains. The time that he spent golfing in his younger days, turned into a love of computers as a way to reach out to family and friends in recent years.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers Jack and Lawrence.

He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Sonya; daughter Glennis Decell of Prescott; son Louis Mundinger of Enumclaw, Wash.; daughter Anne Wyer of Phoenix; sister Norma Swenson; 11 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m., with Rosary at 6 p.m., at Heritage Memory Mortuary, 131 Grove Ave., Prescott.

There will be a Mass of Christian Burial 11 a.m. Monday, Aug. 4, 2014, at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 150 Fleury Ave., Prescott.
