Suffolk - Harold Wallace Adams, 80, passed from this life on Friday, Dec. 30, 2011. He was a native of Indiana, a graduate of Purdue University, George Washington University Law School and an Army Veteran. He retired as Patent Council with Lockheed Martin, Corp. in Oak Ridge, Tenn. He was a member of the Tennessee Bar Association.
In the Fall of 2010 Harold moved from Tenn. to the Maryview Nursing Care Center where he was living at the time of his passing. He endeared himself to many wherever he lived. He had a tremendous range of interests and a brilliant sense of humor. He was an adventuresome, fun-loving fellow who authored the book Legend of Chincoteague. He will be missed by all who knew him.
Harold is survived by his wife of 59 years, Nancy Anne Adams; daughters, Sarah and her husband, Mike who predeceased him, Linda and her husband, Mark; son, Mark and his wife, Susan; and eight grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions in memory of Harold be made to Village Christian Fellowship 3013 Bridge Road, Suffolk, Va. 23435.
Visitation and funeral service with military honors will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, January 4, 2012, at Loving Funeral Home, Portsmouth, Va. A private burial will be held at Albert G. Horton Memorial Veterans Cemetery in Suffolk, Va. Online condolences may be made at www.lovingfuneralhome.com
