DARLINGTON " Funeral services for Mrs. Lauvenia Muldrow Abraham of 202 C Avenue, Darlington, will be 3 p.m. Monday, August 15, 2005, in Cherry Grove Missionary Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery directed by Mitchell-Josey Funeral Home of Darlington.

Mrs. Abraham died Thursday, August 11, in a Florence hospital after an illness. She was born in Darlington County, the sixth child of Ervin and Murray Lewis. She was the widow of Deacon Jesse Abraham.

She received her formal education at Cherry Grove Elementary School and Mayo High School and furthered her education in the nursing profession in New York City.

She was a member of Cherry Grove Missionary Baptist Church, where she served as a member of the Deaconess Board, the Willing Workers, Missionary Society, past president of the Pastorôs Aide, Advisor to the E. B. Burroughs Young Adult Ushers, and Senior Choir. She was a member of Pride of Darlington OES #88, American Legion Auxiliary Unit # 210, Faithful Few Club and Joint Stock Lodge.

Survivors include: three sons, Leroy Billy (Virginia) Muldrow of Florence, Troy (Susan) Abraham of Darlington and Colon (Mary) Abraham of Hartsville; two sisters, Wilhelmenia M. Gregg and Calperta M. Black, both of Darlington; two brothers, Reuben Preacher (Louise S.) Muldrow of Darlington and Ervin June (Loretta) Muldrow of Columbia; eight grandchildren, Ronald Brockington, Janet (Michael) Lucas, Stephanie S. Muldrow, Tanya (Reggie) Richardson, Troy L. Abraham II, Ashley N. Abraham, Amber C. Abraham and Brittney S. Abraham; six great-grandchildren, Michael R. MJ Lucas, Coker M. Lucas, MacKenzie F. Richardson, JôRon Brailey, Maya H. Richardson and Davion Abraham; four sisters-in-law; a brother-in-law; a host of nieces and nephews; and her caretaker, Gloria Stanton.

Wake services with Eastern Star Rites 7 p.m. tonight at the funeral home, and at other times the family will receive friends at the residence.
