Mrs. Joseph Allen, who has resided in this county all her life, died Monday afternoon at the home of her daughter, Mrs. R.N. Johnston. She had been in poor health for several years and a week ago last Saturday she fell and broke her hip.
Her maiden name was Rebecca Sellers. Her husband passed away wo years ago. Since that time she has made her home with her children who are: Mrs. Will McCan, Will Allen, Mrs. Joseph Gipple and Mrs. R. N. Johnston, all of the Columbus Junction community.
Funeral services were held at the Johnston home at 10 o'clock yesterday morning, and burial was made in the Cairo cemetery.
