William Vardaman Fennell 70 died at 3:40 p.m; Thursday at Itawamba Co Hospital after an extended Illness. A veteran of world war II, he was wounded in action in Europe and realeased on May 3, 1945. He was a retired railroad employee and a farmer.
Services were held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Senter Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev J. W. Gaambill and Bro Mitchell Reed officiating. Burial was in Fairview Cemetery.

I beleive his father was Finus/Finas Fennell, seen as Finnel in 1910 census. His mother may have been Alma C. maiden name unknown born about 1881 Mississippi. I don't know where either are buried. After Finis died, I believe Alma married Jim D. Floyd born about 1884 Mississippi.

sister Geneva, b. abt. 1916 MS. married James M. Rogers. They are buried at Fairview too.
