Jack Louie Amos, 73, of Clinton, died on Saturday, October 9, 2010, at Clinton Healthcare & Rehabilitation Center in Clinton.
Jack was born June 23, 1937, in Kansas City, KS, the son of John Amos and Waneta Mae Laster Amos. Jack married Maudie 'Eller' Allen in 1980 in Las Vegas, NV. Jack proudly served his country in the UNITED STATES ARMY during the KOREAN WAR.
When he arrived back home, he worked for the Bureau of Land Management as a line repairman. After his marriage to 'Eller', they owned and operated the Crockerville Restaurant in Stover until their retirement.
Jack was a lifelong member of the Disabled American Veterans. He enjoyed farming, fishing, shopping at flea markets and going on car rides.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, 'Eller'; and brothers, David L. Amos and Fred L. Amos.
Survivors include his brother, Larry (Sarah) Amos of Collins; and his close friend, Delores of Cole Camp.
Private family burial in Missouri Veterans Cemetery on Friday, October 15.
