The Boelter's lived in Sacramento CA, Deerfield, IL and LeMars, IA, before settling in Naperville in 1953. (Dr. Boelter was Professor of Old Testament Theology at Evangelical Theological Seminary.)
During her 25 year residency in Naperville, she was active in Community United Methodist Church, serving as a Sunday School Superintendent for many years. She and her husband then lived in Evanston, IL, and San Jose CA, until Dr. Boelter's death in 1983. She spent the last 14 years residing at Fairview Village in Downers Grove.
Arlean was a gifted story-teller and speaker, active in debate, speech and acting in both high school and college. She and her husband traveled throughout the world, spending a year each in Heidelberg, Jerusalem and Beirut.
