Anderson SC.. Ollie Covington Simms, age 95 of Anderson SC. Died Sunday, Oct. 28, 2007 in NHC Healthcare of Anderson. Born in Iredell Co. NC. on Aug 12 , 1912, Mrs. Simms was the daughter of the late Elijah Benjamin Covington and Adel Moore Covington. Her father was a Civil War veteran, making Mrs. Simms one of the last surviving children of a Civil War veteran in the state of South Carolina. She retired from Abney Mills as a winder, and was a member of Toxaway United Meth Church.
