Frank M. Agnew, 56, a native of Wilton, but for the past 20 years a resident of Honolulu, Hawaii, died early Thursday at Honolulu according to a message received by his sister, Mrs. H. L. Schafnit.
Mr. Agnew was a member of the Island Optical firm at Honolulu.
He was born March 17, 1888 at Wilton, being a son of David C. and Mattie Marshall Agnew and graduated from Wilton high school, later attending Chicago Optical school. He made his home at Denver, Omaha and Chicago before going to Honolulu. He married Pauline Zarnosti at Denver in 1911. Mrs. Agnew died in 1917.
Mr. Agnew served overseas during World was No. 1. He was a member of the Wilton Masonic lodge and of the Shrine and Consistory at Omaha, and of Buena Memorial Presbyterian church, Chicago.
Surviving are his sister, Mrs. Shafnit of Wilton and a nephew, Frank Schafnit of Moscow.
The body will be cremated and the ashes returned to Wilton for burial.
