Erwin Rodger Lex, a retired typewriter mechanic, died Friday in a local hospital.
Mr. Lex was born August 27, 1898 in Spring Valley, Minn., and lived in the Portland area since 1912.
Survivors include his wife, Rose; two sons, Raymond of Salem, and Kenneth of Portland; two sisters, Eunice Lanier of Newport, and Marj Richardson of Reedsport; four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Portland Memorial Funeral Home with vault entombment in Portland Memorial Mausoleum.
