When she was quite young the family moved to Missouri locating at Lamar, where she met and married Wm. H. Rice and they established their home in Greenfield. Later the family moved to Lockwood where they made their home until he passed away March 31, 1945. She continued living in the home until her health failed and she went to Springfield to make her home with her only child Virginia.
Other survivors besides the daughter, Mrs. Glenn C. Burns, are two granddaughters, Mrs. Burl Faught, of Springfield, Mrs. Carl Lavino, of Rolla, three great-grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were conducted in Allison Chapel, Lockwood, Monday afternoon, April 23, by the Rev. Milton Elmore. Burial was in Lake Cemetery, Lamar, under direction of Allison of Lockwood.
