James Harrison Campbell served in the Army during WW I as noted on his headstone. He was a life long bachelor, he lived in rural Pike County, Illinois around Nebo most of his life, working farm and labor jobs. He was an interesting man with a handlebar mustache. I can remember my father going to Illinois regularly on Sunday to bring him to our home in Louisiana, Missouri for Sunday dinner. Afterwords he would trim his hair and mustache. I can remember going to a family reunion at his cabin in rural Pike County around Nebo, my cousin and I ate so much we both got sick.
