Ronald Joseph Cattelona Sr.AGE: 70 • Long BranchRonald Joseph Cattelona, Sr., 70, of Long Branch, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 31, 2014, at his home surrounded by his family. Mr. Cattelona born May 26, 1944, was a lifelong resident of Long Branch. He was a graduate of Long Branch High School Class of 1963. Mr. Cattelona was a communicant of St. Michael's R.C. Church. Ron was an exempt member of Elberon Engine Company, Long Branch Fire Department. For over 25 years, he worked for B & B Beverage Company and retired from Shore Point Distributors. He was an avid Giants fan.Mr. Cattelona was predeceased by his parents, Nicholas and Eleanor Natale Cattelona and his brother, Nick Cattelona. He is survived by his high school sweetheart and wife of 50 years, JoAnn Mangogna Cattelona; their children, Ron, Jr. and his wife Barbara Cattelona, James Cattelona, Patricia and her husband Angel Caraballo and Michael Cattelona; their grandchildren, Ronnie and Nicole Cattelona, Kyle Cattelona, Alana Scheri, Christian Caraballo, Lola Cattelona and Anthony Frank; their great-grandchildren, Ronnie James and Luke Anthony Cattelona; and his siblings Catherine Russo, George Cattelona, James Cattelona and Carol Ruggiero and many nephew and nieces.Visitation from 3 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 4 at Woolley-Boglioli Funeral Home, 10 Morrell St., Long Branch. Funeral services 9:30 a.m. Monday, Jan. 5 at the funeral home, followed by a mass of Christian Burial, 10:30 a.m. at St. Michael's R.C. Church, Long Branch. Entombment will follow at Woodbine Mausoleum, Oceanport.
