Veronica (Verna) Ancy was born to Alexander and Harriet (Dubas) Ancy in Chicago, Illinois.
Verna graduated from Carl Schurz High School in Chicago and started her career with Prudential Insurance Company.
In 1963, Veronica and her parents moved to Colorado Springs where she continued her dedicated work with Prudential. She served the Company in both, Chicago and Colorado Springs as Office Manager until her retirement in 1990 after over 42 years of service.
During her career with Prudential, Veronica was an active Member of 'Business Women of America.' Upon retiring she devoted herself working with Civitan International and continued to do so until the local chapter was closed.
Veronica was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her brother Richard (wife Elinore), 3 nieces (Julie, Michelle and Laura), 2 nephews (Richard and Thomas) and 16 grand-nieces and nephews. She will also be missed by her large family and friends in Illinois and Colorado.
We will be having a Celebration of Veronica's life at a Mass of the Resurrection at Divine Redeemer Church on Thursday, May 17 at 1:00 pm, preceded by a Rosary at 12:30 pm.
There will be a reception following the Mass.
The family asks that donations, in lieu of flowers, will be made to the American Cancer Society.
