Leo Francis Briggs was born 7-22-1894 the only child of Frank and Mary Ann(OBrien) Briggs in Ingham Township, Ingham County, Michigan.
He spend his life in the Bunkerhill area until 7-19-1918 when he joined the service and was stationed at the Great Lakes Training Camp. While there, he came down with the Spanish Flu. He was released and sent home 12-28-1918. He came to Lansing, Michigan and became employed there. After a few days he became ill again and returned to the Dunham home in Bunkerhill, Michigan.
This terrible disease took two more lives from the same household. Leo mother, Mary Ann Briggs, died 4-10-1919. They were all living in Lenora Dunham's house at the time. Lenora died 5-2-1919.
Leo is buried in the St. Corneluis and Cyprian Parish Cemetery in Bunkerhill, Michigan.
