Willard Gray Wilson, Jr., 68, of Marlinton, West Virginia passed away at his home on Wednesday, April 11, 2012.
Junior was a son of the late Willard Gray and Mattie Waugh Wilson. He was preceeded in death by one sister, Carolyn Sue Baxter.
Junior was the owner and operator of Wilson's Greenhouses to which he fully dedicated the past 17 years of his life. He worked very hard at everything he did from making rail fencing to plowing snow and delivering firewood.
Junior truly loved and cared for his family as well as his friends, and he never met a stranger. He took much pride in the development of the Marlinton's Farmers' Market. His hobbies included playing softball with the Marlinton Rangers, as well as hunting and fishing.
Survivors include his wife, Vada Perry Wilson; daughter Rebecca Ramsey and husband Robbie of Marlinton, WV; daughter Terri Bonner and husband Mike, of Monterville, WV; son Troy Gray Wilson and Wife Jane Hunter of Marlinton, WV; Son Jerrry David Wilson and companion Laura Hoover of Marlinton, WV. Grandchildren: Kris Nutter, Brittany VanReenen, Jonathon Wilson, Bridget Shaw, Kelley Weimer, Brandon Shaw, Cassey Shaw, Seth Ramsey, Joseph Bonner, Casey Bonner, Mikayla Bonner, Pamela Marquess, and Justin Buzzard. Junior is also survived by six great-grandchildren with another one due later in 2012. Also, sister, Nancy Kane and husband Rick of Maryland; brother Eugene Wilfong and the late Wanda Wilfong of Marlinton; and a very special friend, Cindy Roy Rodgers.
Funeral Services were held on Saturday, April 14, 2012 at the Lantz Funeral Home in Buckeye, WV with Pastors Sam Felton and Dave McCall officiating.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Marlinton Volunteer Fire Dept., 709 Second Ave., Marlinton, WV 24954.
