Adams entered the employment of the Boston National Bank early in 1887 and has been in banking almost continuously ever since. He is now vice-president of the National Shawmut Bank, Boxton, one of the great banks of New England. Although he says that he can provide no tale of startling adventure, he certainly has had an interesting and successful career and is widely known by bank men. His
correspondence with Schwab and with the present Secretary, and most of all, his sending his sons to Yale from Boston prove his continued interest in the College. He attended his firs reunion last June and says that he will come to
all of them in the future.
He was married November 19, 1894, to Mabel Estelle, daughter of Cyrus A. George, of Boston, Massachusetts.

Norman Illsley Adams, jr., born September 20, 1895; Yale 1917,BK; commissioned 2d Lieutenant of Infantry at the second Plattsburg Camp and assigned to duty at Camp Meade, Maryland.
